Customs officers at the Brest checkpoint found 311 packages of veterinary medicines in the luggage of a 46-year-old scheduled bus driver arriving from Poland. The Belarusian citizen had attempted to bring the goods into Belarus without declaring them.<\/p>\n

During customs clearance, the driver submitted a passenger declaration listing only a garment steamer. When asked whether he had any other goods that required declaration, he answered no. Customs officers in Brest later established that a black backpack found in one of the rooms within the checkpoint belonged to the driver. It contained veterinary medicines worth approximately 243,000 rubles.<\/p>\n

The man was held administratively liable under Part 2 of Article 15.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences. He was fined 20 basic units, and the undeclared goods were confiscated, the State Customs Committee reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n
