The officers said they had received information that Maryna had allegedly returned to Belarus.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe trial in absentia is the day after tomorrow, and people in uniform and plain clothes have become agitated. Today, from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m., they went to all my relatives they could find, looking for me. In some places, they said that \u2018the boss said I had come home,\u2019 while elsewhere they said that I would \u2018be deported anyway and sooner or later I would be in their hands,\u2019 and that they would give me \u2018a long sentence,\u2019\u201d<\/em> Kasinerava <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/maryna.kasinerava\/posts\/pfbid02eerVBhrJJUcomerXw4sNtn7U9PTBULNm3q1i8cxcDuDFDokVgBsr6JpbcQcNkFGal\">wrote<\/a> on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>Kasinerava links the visits by security forces to a motion she submitted requesting that she and her lawyer be allowed to examine the case file.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/founders-of-dissidentby-initiative-to-be-tried-in-absentia-starting-october-16\">trial in absentia of Maryna Kasinerava<\/a> and her husband, <strong>Viachaslau Kasinerau<\/strong>, is set to begin on October 16. They are accused of creating or participating in an \u201cextremist group,\u201d inciting social hatred, discrediting Belarus, insulting Lukashenka, and facilitating \u201cextremist\u201d activities.
