{"id":589395,"date":"2026-10-15T10:16:43","date_gmt":"2026-10-15T07:16:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reform.news\/?p=589395"},"modified":"2026-10-15T10:24:03","modified_gmt":"2026-10-15T07:24:03","slug":"belarus-s-finance-ministry-proposes-raising-tax-rates-by-6-2-in-2027","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/belarus-s-finance-ministry-proposes-raising-tax-rates-by-6-2-in-2027","title":{"rendered":"Belarus\u2019s Finance Ministry Proposes Raising Tax Rates by 6.2% in 2027"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>Belarus\u2019s Ministry of Finance is proposing to increase the rates of most taxes by 6.2% in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTheir indexation is a traditional element of tax policy that helps preserve the real value of tax rates,\u201d the ministry said.<\/p>\n<p>A 6.2% increase is proposed for the following taxes and fees:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Land and environmental taxes;<\/li>\n<li>Transport tax;<\/li>\n<li>Tax on the extraction of natural resources;<\/li>\n<li>Personal income tax payable in fixed amounts;<\/li>\n<li>Unified tax for individual entrepreneurs and individuals;<\/li>\n<li>Taxes on dog ownership and gambling;<\/li>\n<li>Minimum amounts of the unified tax for individuals and the tax on professional income;<\/li>\n<li>Crafts tax;<\/li>\n<li>Fee for activities in the field of agroecotourism.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The draft Tax Code also provides for increases in excise duties. However, the rates will change by different amounts in line with Belarus\u2019s international obligations.<\/p>\n<p>Excise duties will increase as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By 20% on liquids for electronic smoking devices;<\/li>\n<li>By 10.3% on first-category filter cigarettes and non-filter cigarettes;<\/li>\n<li>By 6.2% on second-category cigarettes, tobacco, alcohol, and energy drinks;<\/li>\n<li>By 5.6% on beer;<\/li>\n<li>By 3.8% on fruit and berry wines and ciders;<\/li>\n<li>By 3% on petrol, diesel fuel, and marine fuel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The draft also proposes increasing the excise duty rate on premium alcoholic beverages by 1.5 times.
