{"id":589268,"date":"2026-10-14T16:44:25","date_gmt":"2026-10-14T13:44:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reform.news\/?p=589268"},"modified":"2026-10-14T17:31:07","modified_gmt":"2026-10-14T14:31:07","slug":"state-control-committee-discovers-crypto-farm-near-homiel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/state-control-committee-discovers-crypto-farm-near-homiel","title":{"rendered":"State Control Committee Discovers Crypto Farm Near Homiel"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>Staff of the State Control Committee (SCC), acting on a tip from a concerned citizen, <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/kgk_oficial\/10061\">discovered<\/a> a cryptocurrency mining farm in an agro-town in the Homiel District.<\/p>\n<p>A transformer substation had been installed on a plot of land in the agro-town, which was being used for purposes other than those for which it was designated: instead of being used for subsidiary farming, the site was being used to mine cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n<p>The operation also used equipment that had not undergone the mandatory inspection by the State Energy and Gas Supervision Authority, while electricity was being paid for at subsidized rates.<\/p>\n<p>The mining equipment has been disconnected. The SCC has ordered the removal of the transformer substation from the plot.<\/p>\n<p>A report has been drawn up documenting unauthorized, unmetered electricity consumption.
