Lithuanian President <strong>Gitanas Naus\u0117da<\/strong> announced this on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Great news \u2014 the first returning US rotational troops are already on Lithuanian soil. Together we are stronger! Many thanks to Donald Trump for making this a reality,&#8221;<\/em> he wrote on X.<\/p>\n<p>This morning, Defense Minister <strong>Robertas Kaunas<\/strong> said on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lrt.lt\/naujienos\/lietuvoje\/2\/3082023\/kaunas-i-lietuva-atvyko-iki-simto-jav-kariu-likusieji-iki-lapkricio-vidurio\">LRT<\/a> that around 100 troops had arrived in the country so far. Another 10\u201312 groups are expected to arrive.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;The rotation began yesterday, and the first 100 soldiers have arrived. Another 10\u201312 such units are expected to arrive. The process will continue next week, and by mid-November, two battalions will be fully deployed in Lithuania,&#8221;<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n<p>As before, US troops will be stationed in Pabrad\u0117, near the Belarusian border. So the soldiers are arriving by air, while the equipment is being transported by other routes,&#8221;<\/em> Kaunas said.<\/p>\n<p>Two battalions will be stationed in Lithuania: a heavy armored battalion and an engineer battalion.<\/p>\n<p>US troops have been deployed to Lithuania on a rotational basis since 2014, with units rotating every nine months.
