{"id":588826,"date":"2026-10-13T18:00:06","date_gmt":"2026-10-13T15:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reform.news\/?p=588826"},"modified":"2026-10-13T19:04:03","modified_gmt":"2026-10-13T16:04:03","slug":"investigative-committee-opens-special-proceedings-against-katsiaryna-vadanosava","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/investigative-committee-opens-special-proceedings-against-katsiaryna-vadanosava","title":{"rendered":"Investigative Committee Opens Special Proceedings Against Katsiaryna Vadanosava"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>The Investigative Committee has initiated special proceedings against presenter and singer <strong>Katsiaryna Vadanosava<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>She is accused of rehabilitating Nazism (Part 3 of Article 130-1 of the Criminal Code) and denying the genocide of the Belarusian people (Part 1 of Article 130-2 of the Criminal Code).<\/p>\n<p>The Investigative Committee has demanded that V\u043edanosava appear at its Minsk department.<\/p>\n<p>The criminal case against V\u043edanosava was <a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/prosecutor-general-s-office-opens-case-against-minsk-woman-for-rehabilitation-of-nazism-on-youtube\">opened by the Prosecutor General&#8217;s Office<\/a> in March 2026. According to the charges, Katsiaryna posted videos online in the form of educational lectures in which she allegedly &#8220;manipulated certain facts&#8221; about Belarusian history.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors identified in some of the videos &#8220;fabrications in which the suspect glorified Nazi criminals and their accomplices, including members of nationalist collaborationist formations (&#8216;Auxiliary Police&#8217;, the &#8216;Belarusian Central Council&#8217; and others), deliberately praised them and the crimes they committed against the civilian population of the Byelorussian SSR.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Investigative Committee has initiated special proceedings against presenter and singer Katsiaryna Vadanosava.
