Our position is absolutely clear: Ukraine is ready to guarantee an energy ceasefire, as announced by the president of the United States, and Russia must take corresponding steps.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>As of now, there is no evidence that Russia is complying with the conditions announced by the American president,\u201d<\/em> Zelenskyy said.<\/p>\n<p>Russia had carried out strikes on Ukraine\u2019s energy infrastructure yesterday and today, Zelenskyy noted.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIf the strikes are Russia\u2019s response to the American president\u2019s statement, it means that the Russians have missed another opportunity to bring peace closer,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n<p>Ukrainian officials believe that the US position and pressure on Russia are important for de-escalation.<\/p>\n<p>On October 11, <strong>Donald Trump<\/strong> said that <a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/trump-announces-energy-truce-between-russia-and-ukraine\">Ukraine and Russia had allegedly agreed to an energy ceasefire<\/a>.
