Fans of Belarusian rapper Max Korzh<\/strong> lit hundreds of flares on a bridge in Frankfurt am Main ahead of his concert. Police were forced to intervene, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

On the evening of Friday, October 9, fans of the musician also gathered in other parts of the city and sang loudly. According to the newspaper, fans held an unauthorised mass gathering involving pyrotechnics on the Fl\u00f6\u00dferbr\u00fccke bridge. Police arrived in several patrol cars and brought the gathering to an end.<\/p>\n

Around 2,000 of Korzh\u2019s fans also gathered in the Hafenpark area, near Ostbahnhof and in the Sachsenhausen district. They were preparing for the rapper\u2019s concert, scheduled for Saturday at Deutsche Bank Park stadium.<\/p>\n

\u201cMax Korzh, who combines rap, pop and electro in his music, is one of the most popular and successful musicians in Eastern Europe. Flares, sparklers and fireworks are an important part of his shows. Since openly speaking out against the war following Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine, he has been banned from performing in Russia. The 37-year-old singer is currently also not allowed to give concerts in his native Belarus. As a result, his performances in other European countries often attract tens of thousands of fans from across Eastern Europe,\u201d<\/i> FAZ writes.<\/p>\n
