The independent initiative Ambasada Kultury takes this concept as the starting point for its new two-part exhibition project, Luft suchen, which will run at the Halfsister space in Berlin from October to November.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cHere, Luft is associated with freedom, time and safety, but also with the delicate work of maintaining connections under pressure,\u201d<\/i> the organisers note. The artists\u2019 works emerge from different conditions of tension \u2014 political, migration-related, social and personal.<\/p>\n<p>The project is curated by <strong>Liso Stec<\/strong>, while the public programme is curated by <strong>Valentina Kiselyova<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cLuft suchen invites us to think of an exhibition as a search for air between the components of reality. It is a space where pressure can be recognised while also seeking the possibility of movement, where personal experience meets the collective, and the intangible gradually takes shape,\u201d<\/i> the creators emphasise.<\/p>\n<p>The first exhibition, Luft suchen I, running from October 14 to 18, explores memory, traces and slow looking, in which meaning only gradually emerges through the material.<\/p>\n<p>Participants include <strong>Anna Chkolnikova<\/strong>, <strong>Aleksander Komarov<\/strong> and <strong>Volo Bevza<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Highlights of the public programme include a guided tour in Belarusian on October 16 at 6:30 p.m. with Liso Stec, Valentina Kiselyova and <strong>Anna Chistoserdova<\/strong>, as well as a moderated discussion with architect <strong>Oksana Gurinovich<\/strong>\u00a0about space for action.<\/p>\n<p>The second part, Luft suchen II, will take place from November 11 to 15. This exhibition explores how the experience of the past enters the present through ritual, spiritual practices and healing.<\/p>\n<p>Participants include <strong>Aleksandra Kononchenko<\/strong>, <strong>Uta Bekaia<\/strong> and <strong>Marina Naprushkina<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Highlights of the public programme include a Blessing Workshop by Aleksandra Kononchenko, a lecture by performer <strong>Mikhail Gulin<\/strong> entitled \u201cLecture for Non-Human and Human Agents\u201d (in Belarusian), and the performance \u201cChoir of Wish Fulfilment\u201d by <strong>Katsia Kaya<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The project will open on October 14 at 6:30 p.m. at Halfsister Berlin (<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Torgauer Stra\u00dfe 1).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>More information about the Luft suchen programme is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DeMAS-7DTv2\/?img_index=5\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The event is organised with the support of the Danish Cultural Institute and the organisation <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RAZAM e.V.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In technical usage, the word \u201cLuft\u201d refers to a small clearance between components, without which friction increases and movement comes to a halt.
