Relevant exercises are held on a regular basis. <b>Kiryl Ihnatau<\/b>, head of a department at the Republican Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health, said this at a press conference at the National Press Center in response to a question about a potential outbreak of plague in Russia.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cJust yesterday, I also looked at the information on the Rospotrebnadzor website stating that the diagnosis of plague in the woman who unfortunately died was not confirmed. As of today, it was pneumonia of unspecified etiology.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cAt the same time, I would like to note that our country holds annual exercises to localize and eliminate cases of particularly dangerous infections. They are held both in every region of the country and at the national level. The situation is constantly monitored at checkpoints along the state border of the Republic of Belarus. This applies to airports, including Minsk National Airport and regional airports, as well as other checkpoints along the state border. As I have already said, all services have worked out the tactics for responding and the procedures for cooperation between services. As of today, the border, customs and medical services are prepared for any situations that may arise in the Republic of Belarus, including the importation of any particularly dangerous infection into our territory.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cTherefore, there is no reason to expect, so to speak, the spread of particularly dangerous infections into the territory of the Republic of Belarus,\u201d<\/i> he said.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, an employee of an anti-plague institute died in Irkutsk.
