{"id":585546,"date":"2026-10-05T21:33:14","date_gmt":"2026-10-05T18:33:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reform.news\/?p=585546"},"modified":"2026-10-06T10:07:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-06T07:07:09","slug":"czechia-eases-visa-restrictions-for-relatives-of-belarusians","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/czechia-eases-visa-restrictions-for-relatives-of-belarusians","title":{"rendered":"Czech Republic Eases Visa Restrictions for Relatives of Belarusians"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>The Czech Republic government has approved changes that will allow close relatives of Belarusian citizens legally residing in the country to apply for short-term visas, the Office of <strong>Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/tsikhanouskaya\/9832\">reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Once the changes take effect, parents, grandparents, children and grandchildren of Czech citizens and Belarusian citizens who legally reside in Czechia on the basis of permanent or temporary residence permits will be able to apply for short-term visas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kry\u015bcina \u0160yjanok<\/strong>, director of the Office of Belarusian Democratic Forces in the Czech Republic, said the democratic forces would clarify whether the changes also apply to relatives of Belarusians who have international protection in the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis is an extremely important step and a clear signal of trust in the Belarusian democratic community.
