This is according to data from the Central Election Commission as of 10:55 on October 4.<\/p>\n<p>Voting took place on Saturday, October 3.<\/p>\n<p>By this time, votes for party lists had been counted at 1,040 of 1,059 polling stations \u2014 around 98%. Six political alliances are clearing the five-percent threshold.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_584863\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-584863\" style=\"width: 1700px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/latviya.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-584863\" src=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/latviya.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1700\" height=\"689\" srcset=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/latviya.jpg 1700w, https:\/\/reform.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/latviya-300x122.jpg 300w, https:\/\/reform.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/latviya-1200x486.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/reform.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/latviya-768x311.jpg 768w, https:\/\/reform.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/latviya-1536x623.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1700px) 100vw, 1700px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-584863\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Screenshot<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The \u201cUnited List,\u201d which includes the Latvian Green Party, the Latvian Association of Regions and the Liep\u0101ja Party, received 283,273 votes. The \u201cUnited List\u201d is part of the governing coalition, and its representative <strong>Andris Kulbergs<\/strong> has headed the Latvian government since May 2026.<\/p>\n<p>In second place is \u201cLatvia First\u201d with 13.094% of the vote and a provisional 17 seats. The \u201cSovereign Power \/ Young Latvians\u201d alliance is third, with 11.730% and 15 seats.<\/p>\n<p>The National Alliance received 8.905% of the vote and could win ten seats, the Progressives \u2014 7.827% and nine seats, and New Unity \u2014 6.341% and seven seats.<\/p>\n<p>The Union of Greens and Farmers, with 4.409%, remains below the parliamentary threshold for now. Also below the threshold are \u201cFor the Development of Latvia\u201d \u2014 2.180%, \u201cStability!\u201d \u2014 1.999%, and \u201cHarmony Centre\u201d \u2014 0.822%.<\/p>\n<p>Turnout was 51.81%: 807,067 of 1,557,615 eligible voters cast ballots. This is the lowest turnout since Latvia regained independence.<\/p>\n<p>The results and seat distribution are preliminary.
