Vitsyebsk customs officers uncovered the illegal importation of more than 10,700 units of nicotine-containing products during special enforcement operations. The goods were being transported in an IVECO truck operated by a Belarusian carrier.<\/p>\n

According to the State Customs Committee press service<\/a>, customs officers found during an inspection that the shipment was being transported using invalid documents. The information contained in the documents did not correspond to reality: the Russian company listed as the consignor had been liquidated and had officially ceased operations. The value of the shipment exceeded BYN 180,000.<\/p>\n

Vitsyebsk Customs has initiated administrative proceedings for violating the procedure for transporting goods. The relevant provision provides for a fine of up to 50% of the value of the \u043f\u0440\u0435\u0434\u043c\u0435\u0442 of the offense.<\/p>\n
