The data was published by the National Bank of Belarus. Lending increased by 13.3% compared with the same month last year.<\/p>\n<p>The volume of loans issued over the first eight months of the year increased by 21.8% compared with the same period last year, reaching 144.45 billion roubles.<\/p>\n<p>Short-term lending in January-August increased by 22.3% compared with the same period last year, reaching 124.78 billion roubles, while long-term lending rose by 18.7% to 19.67 billion roubles.<\/p>\n<p>As of September 1, legal entities owed banks 68.86 billion roubles in loans. The amount decreased by 8.4 million roubles over the month. Over the year, outstanding debt increased by 13.4%.<\/p>\n<p>Over the year, outstanding short-term loan debt among legal entities increased by 0.4% to 27.82 billion roubles, while long-term loan debt rose by 24.3% to 41.03 billion roubles.<\/p>\n<p>Overdue debt owed by legal entities to banks stood at 432.9 million roubles as of September 1. It increased by 46.6 million roubles in August.
