A drunk Minsk resident\u2019s scooter ride ended in his death.<\/p>\n<p>The incident took place at the intersection of Masherau Avenue and Starazheuskaya Street.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAccording to eyewitnesses, the intoxicated man fell from his scooter, struck his head against the tram tracks as he fell, and stopped moving,\u201d<\/em> the SCFE said.<\/p>\n<p>Medics who arrived at the scene performed resuscitation measures. They managed to restore the man\u2019s heartbeat. He was hospitalized, but died seven days later without regaining consciousness.<\/p>\n<p>Forensic experts concluded that the man died from multiple blunt-force injuries to the body, including numerous abrasions and bruises on his face and body, comminuted fractures of the nose and a cervical vertebra, and hemorrhages and damage to the spinal cord. The clinical course was complicated by a life-threatening condition\u2014a coma\u2014as well as the development of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (impairment of the functions of two or more organs) and a number of other complications.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The State Committee for Forensic Examinations (SCFE) reported an accident that occurred in Minsk this summer.
