Previously, he served as deputy minister of agriculture and food, overseeing import substitution, food production, exports and imports, as well as tariff and non-tariff regulation.<\/p>\n<p>His career has also included positions in trade, consumer cooperatives, Bellegprom and Belgospishcheprom.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Artur Karpovich<\/strong> previously served as minister of antimonopoly regulation and trade.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the new head of MART, Lukashenka expressed hope that pricing would no longer be a subject of concern.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Land and forests are resources given to us by God, and we must use them as we should. I very much hope that you will familiarise yourself with the situation at the Ministry of Trade and do a great deal to ensure that people never again raise questions about pricing in Belarus for food, clothing and so on,&#8221;<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n<p>The new head of the State Committee for Standardization, <strong>Dzmitry Basko<\/strong>, who is moving to the committee from the State Control Committee, is also expected to assist the minister.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;This concerns markets, protecting our markets, and the movement of our goods.
