On the night of September 26, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 173 attack drones. According to preliminary data<\/a> from the Ukrainian Air Force, Ukrainian air defences shot down or suppressed 134 drones.<\/p>\n

The attack began at around 6 p.m. on September 25. The drones used included Shaheds, more than 50 of them jet-powered, as well as Gerbera drones and Parody decoy drones. They were launched from the Russian regions of Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Shatalovo, as well as from occupied areas of Donetsk region and Crimea.<\/p>\n

The Ukrainian military reported that aerial weapons struck 19 locations, while debris from downed drones fell in eight other places.<\/p>\n

According to data<\/a> from Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko<\/strong>, five people were injured in the Ukrainian capital in the attack. They received medical assistance at the scene.<\/p>\n

In the Darnytskyi district, a fire broke out near warehouse buildings. In the Obolonskyi district, drone debris fell near a residential building and damaged its windows. In the Solomianskyi district, the roof of an office building caught fire. A search-and-rescue operation is also underway at a five-storey residential building there, where injured people were found.<\/p>\n

In the Sviatoshynskyi district, a drone crash caused a fire and destroyed one of the shops on the premises of a shopping centre. The fire has been extinguished.<\/p>\n

In Kharkiv, drones attacked the Kyivskyi and Saltivskyi districts, as well as the suburbs, overnight. According to data<\/a> from Ukraine\u2019s State Emergency Service, three fires broke out. The structures of a previously destroyed building, a car and a two-storey private house caught fire. Residential buildings, an educational institution and a car were damaged. Despite the threat of further strikes, rescuers extinguished the fires.<\/p>\n

In the morning, Russian drones attacked<\/a> Zaporizhzhia. Two women were killed, and a 38-year-old man and a three-year-old boy were injured. The number of injured is being \u0443\u0442\u043e\u0447\u043d\u044f\u0435\u0442\u0441\u044f. A private house was destroyed in the city, while residential buildings, commercial premises, cars and the facade of an educational institution were damaged. Fires also broke out.<\/p>\n
