A 58-year-old Russian citizen was detained at the Brest border crossing while attempting to bring cigarettes containing marijuana from Poland into Belarus.<\/p>\n

The State Border Committee reported<\/a> that the incident occurred on Sept. 22. A service dog detected several cans containing cigarettes with an unknown substance. The detainee admitted that it was marijuana. A medical examination confirmed that he had used it. A grinder, a blister pack containing a tablet and a container with hash oil were also found among the man\u2019s personal belongings.<\/p>\n

Criminal cases were opened against the Russian citizen under Part 1 of Article 328 of the Criminal Code (illegal drug trafficking) and Part 1 of Article 328-1 of the Criminal Code (illegal movement of drugs across the border).<\/p>\n
