{"id":581439,"date":"2026-09-25T12:30:14","date_gmt":"2026-09-25T09:30:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reform.news\/?p=581439"},"modified":"2026-09-25T13:22:18","modified_gmt":"2026-09-25T10:22:18","slug":"coordination-council-creates-commission-to-investigate-crimes-of-lukashenka-s-regime","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/coordination-council-creates-commission-to-investigate-crimes-of-lukashenka-s-regime","title":{"rendered":"Coordination Council Creates Commission to Investigate Crimes of Lukashenka\u2019s Regime"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>The Coordination Council decided at a general session to establish a Commission to Investigate the Crimes of Lukashenka\u2019s Regime.<\/p>\n<p>The commission was initiated by the Latushka Coalition and For Freedom Movement faction, the \u201cStop Being Afraid!\u201d faction, the \u201cBelarusians of Action\u201d Bloc of Belarusian Political Prisoners, and the \u201cVolya\u201d movement.<\/p>\n<p>The commission will be headed by <strong>Aliaksandr Rakitski<\/strong>, with <strong>Mikhail Kirylyuk<\/strong> as his deputy.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe commission will collect, record and preserve evidence, document facts of crimes and their circumstances, and prepare materials and recommendations for future transitional justice mechanisms,\u201d<\/em> the Coordination Council <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/rada_vision\/5047\">explained<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The commission will operate on the principles of law, independence, impartiality and objectivity, it said. It emphasized that the commission is not a court and does not make decisions on guilt.
