The court deemed his testimony insufficiently reliable. Relatives of the disappeared politicians appealed the decision and are seeking a guilty verdict.<\/p>\n<p>The appeal hearing <a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/appeal-hearing-in-harauski-case-begins-in-switzerland\">took place today at the Cantonal Court of St. Gallen<\/a>. At the hearing, Harauski said that the order to abduct Zakharanka, Hanchar and Krasouski came from <strong>Aliaksandr Lukashenka<\/strong> and former State Security Council Secretary <strong>Viktar Sheiman<\/strong> through former Interior Minister <strong>Yury Sivakou<\/strong> and former SOBR commander <strong>Dzmitry Pavlichenka<\/strong>. According to Harauski, the order was given verbally.<\/p>\n<p>The court hearing has now concluded. The court announced that the ruling would be published on the court\u2019s official website by mid-October. However, <strong>Alena Zakharanka <\/strong>was preliminarily told at the court that the ruling would be issued on September 24. The court will also decide which information from the case will be made public and which will remain confidential.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019, Harauski himself told journalists that he was involved in the disappearances of former Interior Minister Yury Zakharanka, former Deputy Prime Minister Viktar Hanchar and businessman Anatol Krasouski. All three are considered missing, and their deaths have not been officially confirmed. In September 2023, the Rorschach District Court acquitted Harauski.
