The website has a refreshed design, a new homepage structure and a new logo. We have sought to preserve the publication’s recognisable identity while making news and longer-form articles more convenient to read.

The main goal of the redesign is to focus attention on the content. We have increased the text size and redesigned the presentation of headlines, photos, quotes and topic sections. The pages are now lighter and less visually busy, especially when read on a smartphone.

The Reform.news logo has also changed. The new version retains a connection to the publication’s previous visual style, but looks more modern and works better across different formats — on the website, social media and mobile devices. We also changed the logo because our previous one looked very similar to the logo of a well-known American clothing brand. At this point, there’s no way to prove anything, but our logo was created earlier 🙂 Well, the corporation won, we give up.

We have updated the homepage, made the main articles and editors’ picks more prominent, and simplified navigation through sections and the archive. The latest news feed now stays alongside the reader, and new publications can be seen without constantly refreshing the page.

After reading an article, the website will suggest several earlier stories. This will allow readers to continue reading without returning to the homepage each time.

The new version fully supports the Russian, Belarusian and English versions of Reform.news. We have also updated the functions for printing, saving articles as PDFs and obtaining a link for reading without a VPN.

Work on the website does not end with the launch of the new design. In the first days after the launch, we will continue testing it on different devices and fixing any issues we find.

If you notice an error or would like to share your impressions, write in the comments.

Thank you for reading and supporting Reform.news.

We have launched a new version of Reform.news.
