{"id":577931,"date":"2026-09-17T19:17:06","date_gmt":"2026-09-17T16:17:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reform.news\/?p=577931"},"modified":"2026-09-17T22:11:27","modified_gmt":"2026-09-17T19:11:27","slug":"baj-adopts-organization-s-gender-policy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/baj-adopts-organization-s-gender-policy","title":{"rendered":"BAJ Adopts Organization\u2019s Gender Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>The Belarusian Association of Journalists (BAJ) has <a href=\"https:\/\/baj.media\/be\/bazh-prynja-gendarnuju-palityku-arganizacyi\/\">adopted<\/a> a gender policy that provides equal opportunities for members of the organization, employees, volunteers, interns and representatives of its governing bodies regardless of gender identity, age, marital status or other personal characteristics.<\/p>\n<p>BAJ says it supports the principles of equality, non-discrimination and respect for human dignity, and considers gender equality one of the conditions for free and professional journalism.<\/p>\n<p>The organization\u2019s gender policy provides for measures to prevent discrimination, violence and harassment, the creation of a safe working environment, as well as mechanisms for responding to unacceptable behavior. A gender-sensitive approach is to be taken into account in organizing events, project activities, management and evaluation of the organization\u2019s work.<\/p>\n<p>BAJ also intends to incorporate gender equality issues into strategic and current planning, internal regulations and organizational development.
