The Podlasie provincial police reported the incident. A teenager helped police detain the men.<\/p>\n<p>The young man spotted the smuggling balloon at night after it landed in his parents\u2019 pasture. He alerted his parents, who called the police.<\/p>\n<p>The family then went outside to see what had happened. They saw a car entering their property. The men in the vehicle behaved aggressively after learning that police were on their way. The family prevented them from leaving.<\/p>\n<p>The 41-year-old and 38-year-old men were subsequently detained. They tried to explain that they had ended up in the field by accident, allegedly while looking for a friend whom they were supposed to pick up from a wedding.<\/p>\n<p>The weather balloon was carrying 3,000 packs of cigarettes. In addition, a small amount of marijuana was found on one of the men.<\/p>\n<p>Both men were charged with smuggling, while one was also charged with drug possession.
