Deputy editor-in-chief of Poland\u2019s Gazeta Wyborcza Bartosz Wieli\u0144ski<\/strong> published<\/a> a photograph of Andrzej Poczobut<\/strong> taken in Hrodna today.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbove the Neman. Andrzej Poczobut in the lead role,\u201d<\/em> Wieli\u0144ski captioned the photograph.<\/p>\n

He also added a quote from the former political prisoner: \u201cBehind me are the former barracks of the 81st Infantry Regiment. The city\u2019s last line of defence in September 1939.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Poczobut himself also posted<\/a> a photograph taken on the banks of the Neman in Hrodna on his X account.<\/p>\n

Today, Gazeta Wyborcza reported that former political prisoner and journalist Andrzej Poczobut, as he had promised, returned to Belarus<\/a>. He crossed the Polish-Belarusian border before noon. Poczobut plans to meet with his family and fellow members of the Union of Poles in Belarus. The newspaper reported that the trip will last a week.<\/p>\n
