The country\u2019s Prime Minister <strong>Andris Kulbergs<\/strong> announced this today, Delfi <a href=\"https:\/\/rus.delfi.lv\/biznes\/37448553\/biznes\/120133416\/latviya-planiruet-vvesti-tarif-v-razmere-300-na-gruzy-zerna-iz-rossii-i-belarusi\">reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It is also proposed to develop mechanisms for inspecting transit cargo and cooperate with Ukrainian laboratories to determine the origin of grain.<\/p>\n<p>Latvia wants to achieve a common position among the Baltic states so that <em>\u201cthe region\u2019s infrastructure is not used for Russian grain,\u201d<\/em> Kulbergs said. He has already discussed the issue with the prime minister of Estonia and plans to hold talks with the Lithuanian prime minister tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Latvia\u2019s coalition parties have agreed on measures to restrict the transit of Russian and Belarusian grain through Latvia, protect the interests of Latvian farmers and prevent the circulation of grain taken from occupied Ukrainian territories, the publication writes.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth recalling that Lithuania announced today that it will check all <a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/lithuania-to-check-origin-of-all-transit-grain-from-russia-and-belarus\">grain transported in transit from Belarus and Russia<\/a>.
