The Minsk City Executive Committee&#8217;s Health Committee <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/komzdrav\/5869\">reported<\/a> this. Reports of a possible blood shortage were prompted by information circulating on social media.<\/p>\n<p>The center explained that the reports resulted from an incorrect explanation by a medical worker.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;The situation with donor blood is stable and under control. The center has a non-reducible reserve of the necessary blood components. The information that spread on social media is not true.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The reason is that the information was not presented correctly: one of the nurses did not explain to the patient&#8217;s relatives the contents of the leaflet about the possibility of donating blood, which led the family members to misunderstand it,&#8221; the comment said.<\/p>\n<p>The center stressed that such leaflets are given to patients&#8217; relatives as instructions for those who wish to become donors. As <b>Volha Liavandouskaya<\/b>, head of the center&#8217;s transfusion department, said, there is no urgent call for blood donations at present.<\/p>\n<p>Those wishing to donate blood can visit the center from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. It is located at 8 Siamashka Street, Building 2, in Minsk.
