{"id":571369,"date":"2026-08-26T17:17:21","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T14:17:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reform.news\/?p=571369"},"modified":"2026-08-26T21:16:38","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T18:16:38","slug":"residents-of-zhlobin-reported-unusual-hum-and-fighter-jet-flight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/residents-of-zhlobin-reported-unusual-hum-and-fighter-jet-flight","title":{"rendered":"Residents of Zhlobin Reported Unusual Hum and Fighter Jet Flight"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>Residents of Zhlobin reported a loud, unusual sound on the evening of Aug. 25, suggesting it may have been associated with a drone flying overhead. <a href=\"https:\/\/d3kybj4keptsfp.cloudfront.net\/ru\/vojna\/nad-zhlobinom-25-avgusta-fiksirovali-prolet-bpla-i-istrebitelja.html\">Flagstok<\/a> noticed the reports on social media.<\/p>\n<p>According to local residents, at around 5 p.m., a hum resembling the sound of a jet-powered drone was heard on the outskirts of Zhlobin in the Lebedauka area, in the 16th microdistrict, the Rabochy settlement and the Zapadny microdistrict.<\/p>\n<p>The drone itself was reportedly not visible because of low cloud cover. Some residents said they also saw a fighter jet flying at low altitude that evening. It was seen over the workshops of the Belarusian Steel Works and in the city center.<\/p>\n<p>One user also reported that at about the same time, a fighter jet was circling over Sviatlahorsk.<\/p>\n<p>At around 5 p.m., Ukrainian monitoring channels reported military aviation activity in eastern Belarus. In particular, the PPO Radar channel reported at 4:51 p.m. that three Su-30 aircraft had taken off.<\/p>\n<p>On the morning of Aug. 25, monitoring groups also recorded Russian jet-powered drones moving over Ukraine&#8217;s Chernihiv region.
