Poland\u2019s Defense Minister and Deputy Prime Minister <strong>W\u0142adys\u0142aw Kosiniak-Kamysz<\/strong> announced the delivery.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty-eight combat vehicles have entered service with the 16th Mechanized Division. The delivery was made under a contract signed on Sept. 1, 2025, covering K2 and K2PL tanks.<\/p>\n<p>As the minister noted, the next batches will include tanks in the K2PL version. The designation indicates that some Polish-made components are already being used in the tanks.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis is an important step in expanding the production capacity of our industry and consistently strengthening Poland\u2019s security,\u201d<\/em> he added.<\/p>\n<p>The K2 is a South Korean tank that entered service in 2014. It is equipped with a 120-mm Hyundai Wia CN08 gun and carries 40 rounds of ammunition. The tank is also armed with two machine guns and anti-tank guided missiles.
