He went through the \u201cred channel\u201d to process the temporary import of the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>The man said he was carrying only personal belongings and about $900 in U.S. dollars.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cThe inspector questioned the statement. During a subsequent inspection, a large sum of money was found under food products in a portable refrigerator, several times exceeding the amount permitted to be transported without declaration\u201d<\/i>, the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>The money was seized pending a court decision.
