Russia launched a strike on Kyiv overnight today. The Kyiv region was also attacked.<\/p>\n

Eight people have been killed and 33 injured in the Ukrainian capital.<\/p>\n

In the Sviatoshynskyi district, an industrial site was hit. Fires in two warehouses covering 500 and 1,000 square meters have been contained. Another large warehouse was hit elsewhere.<\/p>\n

In the Solomianskyi district, the eighth and ninth floors of a nine-story residential building were destroyed. Medical facilities were damaged.<\/p>\n

Another warehouse was hit in the Darnytskyi district.<\/p>\n

Poland scrambled fighter jets and raised the readiness of its air defenses today in response to Russia’s use of long-range weapons.<\/p>\n

The death toll has risen to 12. Thirty-four people were injured. Rescuers continue to work at the sites of the strikes.<\/p>\n

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia used various types of ballistic missiles against Kyiv today, 36 Kh-101\/Iskander-K\/Kh-59 cruise missiles, eight Kalibr cruise missiles, two Bandero\u043b\u044c loitering munitions, as well as 168 attack drones.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian air defenses managed to shoot down or suppress 31 Kh-101\/Iskander-K\/Kh-59 cruise missiles, eight Kalibr missiles, two Bandero\u043b\u044c loitering munitions and 145 attack drones.<\/p>\n

Hits were recorded at 28 locations, while debris fell in two locations.<\/p>\n
