{"id":569377,"date":"2026-08-19T19:27:21","date_gmt":"2026-08-19T16:27:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reform.news\/?p=569377"},"modified":"2026-08-19T19:58:30","modified_gmt":"2026-08-19T16:58:30","slug":"belarusian-railway-adds-extra-trains-ahead-of-new-academic-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/belarusian-railway-adds-extra-trains-ahead-of-new-academic-year","title":{"rendered":"Belarusian Railway Adds Extra Trains Ahead Of New Academic Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>Belarusian Railway is adding extra trains and increasing the number of seats on popular routes ahead of the new academic year.<\/p>\n<p>Additional trains and coupled train sets will operate on Aug. 30 and 31 on the Minsk-Brest, Minsk-<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Homiel<\/span>, Minsk-<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mahiliou <\/span>and Minsk-Mazyr routes.<\/p>\n<p>On Aug. 30, trains No. 668 Brest-Minsk, No. 685 <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Homiel<\/span>-Minsk and No. 691\/692 Minsk-<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mahiliou<\/span>-Minsk will be added.<\/p>\n<p>On Aug. 31, additional trains No. 743\/746 Minsk-<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mahiliou<\/span>-Minsk, No. 653 Minsk-Brest, No. 690 Minsk-<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Homiel <\/span>and No. 693\/638 Minsk-<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Homiel<\/span>-Minsk will operate. Trains No. 874\/873 Minsk-Mazyr-Minsk and No. 737\/738 Minsk-Brest-Minsk will operate with coupled train sets that day.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, from Aug. 24 through Thursday, an additional interregional business-class train No. 710 Minsk-<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Homiel <\/span>will operate. In the opposite direction, train No. 715 <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Homiel<\/span>-Minsk will operate with a coupled train set during this period.<\/p>\n<p>As Belarusian Railway <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rw.by\/corporate\/press_center\/news_of_passengers\/2026\/08\/belorusskaya-zheleznaya-doroga-naznachaet-dopolnitelnye-poezda-i-uvelichivaet-kolichestvo-mest-v-poe\/\">noted<\/a>, the additional measures were introduced based on monitoring of demand for passenger services.
