According to <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/christianvision\/5265\">information<\/a> from Christian Vision, 11 priests have either not received approval to continue their religious activities or have received permission for only a minimum period.<\/p>\n<p>According to the outlet, Metropolitan Archbishop of Minsk-<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mahiliou<\/span> <b id=\"mwBw\">Iosif Stane\u016dski <\/b>appealed to <strong>Aliaksandr Lukashenka<\/strong> with a request to extend the ministry permits for these priests. Their names have not been disclosed so far.<\/p>\n<p>One of the priests who is already due to leave Belarus is Polish Dominican <strong>Roman Schulz<\/strong>. He was bid farewell on Aug. 15 during a solemn Mass at the <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mahiliou<\/span> Cathedral. The service was attended by Apostolic Nuncio to Belarus Archbishop <strong>Ignazio Ceffalia<\/strong>, <b id=\"mwBw\">Iosif Stane\u016dski<\/b> and Auxiliary Bishop of the Minsk-<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mahiliou<\/span> Archdiocese <strong>Alaksandr Jaszeuski<\/strong>, its vicar general.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Schulz <\/strong>served in Belarus for nearly 20 years. He was administrator of the parish of St. Casimir and St. Jadwiga in <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mahiliou<\/span>, organized the annual Rosary Congress and took part in other Catholic projects.<\/p>\n<p>Katolik.life <a href=\"https:\/\/katolik-life.translate.goog\/rus\/news\/tserkov\/item\/6070-s-izvestnym-svyashchennikom-prostilis-v-mogileve-pokinut-belarus-vynuzhden-ne-tolko-on.html?_x_tr_sl=be&amp;amp;_x_tr_tl=ru&amp;amp;_x_tr_hl=ru&amp;amp;_x_tr_pto=wapp\">confirms<\/a> that Schulz did not receive permission to continue serving in Belarus. A similar situation had already arisen in 2016, but at that time the decision not to renew his permit was overturned and the priest continued his work.<\/p>\n<p>After his departure, the Dominicans will not be able to continue independently providing pastoral care to the <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mahiliou<\/span> parish. As the publication notes, at least two friars are required for the monastic community to continue its activities.<\/p>\n<p><em><i>\u201cThe friars will continue providing pastoral care to the community for some time, but will then be forced to hand it over.
