Yet years of pressure, imprisonment, and forced exile have not erased the desire of Belarusians for freedom, democracy, and sovereignty.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Ukraine clearly distinguishes between the Belarusian people and the Lukashenka regime, which bears responsibility for enabling Russia\u2019s war of aggression against Ukraine. We appreciate the many Belarusians who have stood with Ukraine and opposed Russian aggression,\u201d<\/i> Sybiha <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/andrii_sybiha\/status\/2086401870151520268\">wrote<\/a> on X.<\/p>\n<p>The Ukrainian foreign minister said Kyiv would continue cooperation with Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201c<span class=\"font-chirp max-w-full whitespace-pre-wrap break-words text-inherit text-[length:inherit] font-inherit\">We hope that one day Belarus will become free, independent, democratic, and European, where its people, not Moscow, decide the country\u2019s future. Such a Belarus would strengthen the security of our entire region.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span class=\"font-chirp max-w-full whitespace-pre-wrap break-words text-inherit text-[length:inherit] font-inherit\">Ukraine will continue its close engagement with Tsikhanouskaya <\/span><span class=\"font-chirp max-w-full whitespace-pre-wrap break-words text-inherit text-[length:inherit] font-inherit\">and all Belarusians who are willing to live in a free and European Belarus.
