Several relatives of students were arrested in administrative proceedings and sentenced to 15 days in detention.<\/p>\n<p>As previously reported, the Supreme Court of Belarus designated the European Humanities University (EHU), which operates in Vilnius, along with its structural divisions, as an \u201cextremist organization.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Prosecutor General\u2019s Office claims that the university prepares Belarusian youth <i>\u201cto implement Western scenarios for transforming the political system, promoting the so-called democratic values, and \u2018alternative\u2019 interpretations of historical, cultural and other events.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>In Belarus, searches were carried out at the homes of graduates, students and other people associated with the university.
