portray colorful Cossacks in the hit Netflix series.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;For this, I had to make sacrifices and shave off the moustache and beard that I had worn for literally half my life,&#8221;<\/i> performing a song in Polish.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;1670&#8221; is one of Netflix&#8217;s most successful Polish productions in the mockumentary satirical comedy genre. The series humorously depicts the lives of nobles and peasants in the 17th-century Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth while parodying contemporary social issues.
