The news was <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/pressmvd\/23956\">announced<\/a> by acting head of the Interior Ministry&#8217;s Main Traffic Police Directorate <strong><b>Andrei Harkusha<\/b><\/strong>, who is at the scene of the tragedy.<\/p>\n<p>The crash occurred at about 3 p.m. today on the 18th kilometer of the N-5011 highway linking Svetlahorsk, Sasnovy Bor and Paliessie. A 46-year-old driver of a Mazda <a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/three-killed-including-child-in-crash-with-fuel-truck-in-svetlahorsk-district\">lost control of the vehicle, crossed into the oncoming lane<\/a> and collided with a MAZ-6317 fuel truck driven by a 29-year-old man.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the passenger car, his 11-year-old daughter and his 78-year-old mother-in-law were killed. The driver&#8217;s 51-year-old wife and her 8-year-old nephew were taken to hospital. Despite doctors&#8217; efforts, the boy died.<\/p>\n<p>The Svetlahorsk District Department of the Investigative Committee has <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/skgovby\/16107\">opened<\/a> a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 317 of the Criminal Code (violation of traffic regulations or vehicle operating rules resulting through negligence in the deaths of two or more people).<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses to the crash are asked to provide any information by calling +375291427794.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An 8-year-old boy injured in the fatal road accident in the Svetlahorsk district has died in hospital.
