Three people were killed and two others were hospitalized following a road accident in the Svetlahorsk district. The victims included an 11-year-old girl, the Interior Ministry’s press service reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The crash occurred at about 3 p.m. today on the 18th kilometer of the N-5011 highway linking Svetlahorsk, Sasnovy Bor and Paliessie. A 46-year-old driver of a Mazda lost control of the vehicle, crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with a MAZ fuel truck.<\/p>\n

The driver of the passenger car and two passengers \u2014 an 11-year-old girl and a 78-year-old woman \u2014 were killed. An 8-year-old boy and a 51-year-old woman were taken to hospital.<\/p>\n

Traffic police officers, emergency responders and an investigative task force are working at the scene.<\/p>\n

On the instructions of Interior Minister Ivan Kubrakou<\/b><\/strong>, acting head of the Interior Ministry’s Main Traffic Police Directorate Andrei Harkusha<\/b><\/strong> was dispatched to the scene of the crash.<\/p>\n
