Border control operations have been fully restored,\u201d<\/i> Latvia&#8217;s State Border Guard <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rs.gov.lv\/lv\/jaunums\/noversti-tehniskie-traucejumi-paternieku-robezkontroles-punkta-informacijas-sistemu-darbiba\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>From Aug. 5, time-slot bookings for crossing the border will resume on the lvrobeza.lv website.<\/p>\n<p>Belarus&#8217; State Border Committee confirmed that traffic through the border crossing resumed at 9 p.m.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cThe Latvian side informed Belarusian border guards that, from 9 p.m., it had fully resumed the processing of both freight and passenger vehicles at the P\u0101ternieki (Hryharoushchyna) border crossing,\u201d<\/i> the committee said.<\/p>\n<p>The P\u0101ternieki border crossing, the only operational checkpoint on the Latvia-Belarus border, suspended operations on the evening of July 31. The Latvian side said the closure was caused by a \u201ctechnical malfunction.\u201d Belarus&#8217; Foreign Ministry threatened Latvia with <a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/belarusian-foreign-ministry-threatens-latvia-with-asymmetrical-measures-over-border-crossing-closure\">retaliatory measures of an asymmetric nature<\/a>.
