By comparison, growth stood at 1.5% in January-May.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;State support for investment activity continues to play an important role. Budget-financed investment increased by 11.4% year on year, while investment financed through concessional loans nearly doubled,&#8221;<\/em> the bank said in its weekly review of the economies of EDB member states.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Given the expansion of investment activity, we expect Belarus&#8217;s GDP growth to exceed 1.5% in 2026,&#8221;<\/em> the bank added.<\/p>\n<p>The EDB presented the summer edition of its macroeconomic forecast in mid-June, projecting Belarus&#8217;s GDP growth at 1.3% for 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) has raised its forecast for Belarus&#8217;s economic growth, linking the revision to an acceleration in investment.
