Nine delegates abstained, the Coordination Council&#8217;s press service <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/rada_vision\/4957\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The resolution recognizes the existence of a prolonged, deep and systemic domestic political crisis in Belarus that, among other things, affects the country&#8217;s international image and its ability to maintain balanced cooperation with foreign partners. It also states that Belarus&#8217; state sovereignty and independence are the highest values.<\/p>\n<p>In the adopted resolution, the Coordination Council decided to support the idea of holding a round table with the participation of democratic institutions \u2014 the Coordination Council, the United Transitional Cabinet, the Office of <b>Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya<\/b>, and representatives of the Belarusian authorities exercising de facto control over the country \u2014 to overcome the crisis and strengthen Belarus&#8217; independence.<\/p>\n<p>The document also states that possible peace negotiations to end the Russia-Ukraine war could create new conditions for shaping a long-term security architecture in Eastern Europe, while also opening a window of opportunity to strengthen Belarus&#8217; sovereignty and international standing.
