He was convicted in the spring of 2024 on charges of high treason and incitement of hatred.<\/p>\n<p>As the <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/viasna96\/35808\">reports<\/a> human rights centre Viasna, it has only now become known that Charamnykh\u00a0was sentenced to 14 years&#8217; imprisonment in a medium-security penal colony.<\/p>\n<p>Anton Charamnykh has been recognised as a political prisoner.
