He stressed that Putin must recognise that he will never achieve his objectives on the battlefield.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;Ukraine&#8217;s proposal to Putin for ending the war is realistic and achievable. It is a chance for his regime to avoid collapse,&#8221;<\/i> Sybiha <a href=\"https:\/\/mfa.gov.ua\/news\/andrij-sibiga-okresliv-klyuchovi-bezpekovi-prioriteti-ukrayini-pid-chas-panelnoyi-diskusiyi-na-polyah-samitu-nato-v-ankari\">said<\/a> on June 7 during the panel discussion &#8220;Changing Roles: Ukraine as a Guarantor of Europe&#8217;s Security, Rethinking Dependencies&#8221; held on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara, T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n<p>According to Sybiha, the war will end if the cost of continued Russian aggression increases through sanctions, the use of frozen assets and international isolation.<\/p>\n<p>The Ukrainian foreign minister also welcomed China&#8217;s willingness to play a more active role in achieving peace. Preparations are currently under way for Sybiha to visit China at Beijing&#8217;s invitation.<\/p>\n<p>Sybiha also stressed that Ukraine no longer requires permission from third countries to strike military targets in Russia with its own weapons. He outlined four key elements of a sustainable peace:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>legally binding bilateral security guarantees from the United States;<\/li>\n<li>the deployment of partner forces on Ukrainian territory with US support;<\/li>\n<li>Ukraine&#8217;s membership in the European Union as part of the security guarantee system;<\/li>\n<li>strengthening Ukraine&#8217;s Armed Forces and a support package to deter future Russian aggression.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said Kyiv&#8217;s proposal to Vladimir Putin for ending the war is realistic and achievable.
