This was stated by <b>Paulius Baltokas<\/b>, an adviser to the Lithuanian president on domestic policy.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier today, Prime Minister <b>Mindaugas Sinkevi\u010dius<\/b> presented his government&#8217;s programme. The programme of the previous cabinet, led by <b>Inga Ruginien\u0117<\/b>, included a commitment to take <i>&#8220;active measures to further maintain the international isolation of Russia and Belarus.&#8221;<\/i> As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lrt.lt\/en\/news-in-english\/19\/2983069\/no-shift-in-vilnius-policy-towards-belarus-despite-changed-wording-president-s-office\">LRT<\/a> reports, the new programme mentions only Russia in this context: <i>&#8220;Active measures to further maintain the international isolation of Russia.&#8221;<\/i> Belarus has been removed from the wording.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the change for BNS, Baltokas stressed that Lithuania&#8217;s position towards the Belarusian government and European Union sanctions remains unchanged.<\/p>\n<p>Another amendment to the programme concerns the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant (BelNPP).
