This is the first month-on-month decline in sales this year.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;June&#8217;s correction was fairly broad: of the market&#8217;s 10 leading brands, eight ended the month with negative month-on-month dynamics compared with May,&#8221;<\/i> the BAA said.<\/p>\n<p>The association also noted that despite the decline in June, the month&#8217;s result was still the second-highest this year. Over the first six months of the year, legal entities sold 35,600 vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>The best-selling models in June were BelGee S50 (974 units), BelGee X50+ (796 units), and Geely EX2 (667 units).<\/p>\n<p>Sales of electric vehicles saw the sharpest decline in June. A total of 2,400 EVs were sold last month, down 31% from May.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;Against the backdrop of declining sales at official dealerships, the number of new vehicles imported by private individuals increased.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>In June, private individuals imported 1,800 new vehicles, up 27% from May.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>This trend indicates that part of the demand for new vehicles may be shifting between the official dealership network and independent imports,&#8221;<\/i> the BAA said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sales of new passenger cars in Belarus totaled 7,400 units in June, down 9% from May, according to data published by the Belarusian Automobile Association (BAA).
