A resolution bearing the corresponding title has been registered in the National Register of Legal Acts.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pravo.by\/document\/?guid=3961&amp;p0=C22600315\">Resolution<\/a> No. 315 of the Council of Ministers, titled &#8220;On the Closure of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea&#8221;, is dated June 24. It has not yet been officially published.<\/p>\n<p>An agreement to exchange embassies between Belarus and Equatorial Guinea was reached in 2023. During a visit to Minsk, Equatorial Guinean President <b>Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo<\/b> announced the plans.<\/p>\n<p>In December 2023, the Council of Ministers adopted a resolution providing for the opening of the embassy by August 1, 2024. In June 2024, the Council of Ministers approved the salary of the ambassador to Equatorial Guinea.<\/p>\n<p>However, no announcement was ever made regarding the opening of the embassy or the appointment of an ambassador, and the Foreign Ministry&#8217;s website contains no information about such a diplomatic mission. Belarus is currently represented in Equatorial Guinea at the level of charg\u00e9 d&#8217;affaires. The position is held by <b>Uladzislau Zhur<\/b>. On June 10, he met with the country&#8217;s vice president, <b>Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue<\/b>.
