The film, which is currently in production, has attracted the attention of international industry experts and received a special award from NO PROBLEMO MUSIC at the prestigious Krakow Film Festival 2026.

The award was presented during the industry section of the festival, KFF Industry. The project is being developed within DOC LAB POLAND, a program of the Władysław Ślesicki Film Foundation and the region’s leading incubator for documentary films.

What is the film about?

“The Last Dog” is a story unfolding at the intersection of magical fairy tale and harsh reality. At the center of the narrative are two outsiders from completely different worlds: Laurent, an architect from Belgium, and Jasiuk, a street musician from Hajnówka in Podlasie.

The protagonists try to preserve their friendship, confront mythical “potters,” and search for their place in the world. The film offers a subtle exploration of human relationships against the backdrop of a borderland region.

Project Team: Independent Cinema Professionals

The film is being produced by a team well known in Poland’s independent film community.
