A video featuring him was published on Instagram by his wife, Yelena.<\/p>\n<p>Khliastou&#8217;s detention became known on May 22. He was sentenced to <a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/singer-aliaksei-khliastou-sentenced-to-14-days-for-petty-hooliganism\">14 days of administrative arrest<\/a> on a charge of &#8220;petty hooliganism.&#8221; Prior to that, the singer had reportedly been summoned several times for <a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/aliaksei-khliastou-speaks-about-preventive-conversations\">&#8220;preventive conversations&#8221;<\/a> with law enforcement representatives. According to him, he was first called to the traffic police under the pretext of a traffic violation, then invited for a conversation with officers of GUBOPiK on Revoliutsionnaya Street, and later summoned to the city police department.<\/p>\n<p>Aliaksei Khliastou had a successful music career in Belarus and was named Belarus&#8217; &#8220;Best Singer of the Year&#8221; on several occasions.
