Belarusian Prime Minister Aliaksandr Turchyn met today with Kazakh blogger, motivational speaker and athlete Aitym Zhakupov. He became known for records in finger push-ups, victories in streetlifting and powerlifting competitions, and the JanaMen project, through which he has been helping people with extreme obesity make major life changes since 2023.

“A well-known and popular figure. The most important thing is that what you are doing is definitely useful. In fact, this project of yours is great, well done, because, in my view, it is not only and not so much about physical condition but also about psychology and the moral aspect. So it is really great. And truly, you are doing an excellent job. Thank you.

I also want to say that one of the reasons for this meeting is that I really love Kazakhstan, I have been there many times, and I have met with Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly (Tokayev — President of Kazakhstan, ed.) and, of course, with my colleague Olzhas Abaiuly (Bektenov — Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, ed.)…

And the current head of the administration is my long-time friend Roman Vasilievich Sklyar, who now heads the presidential administration. So Astana, Almaty, Karaganda — I have often visited Kazakhstan and I always say that Kazakhstan holds a special place for me because I have many friends there. So I thought, why not get to know a few more?” Turchyn said.

Following the meeting, Zhakupov said he plans to film a new season of his project in Belarus.

“We discussed further joint projects. The main task and mission is probably to bring benefits to society through the development of sport, healthy thinking and our project. And JanaMen — I think very soon, in fact we are already starting to work — we will hold the fifth season in Belarus. So first of all, I would like to wish participants success and good luck. People can already start preparing because we are already working on this with those who invited us. I believe there will definitely be positive results and, most importantly, benefits. Especially given the warm and friendly relations between our brotherly countries, I think our project will only strengthen our ties”, he said.
