He made the remarks during an online conference after returning from the NATO ministerial meeting, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurointegration.com.ua\/news\/2026\/05\/22\/7238117\/\">European Pravda reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em><i>\u201cIn the near future, <a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/ukraine-s-foreign-minister-announces-tsikhanouskaya-visit-to-kyiv\">we are expecting <strong>Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya<\/strong> in Ukraine<\/a>, so we already have someone to talk to on all issues concerning Belarus,\u201d<\/i><\/em> he said.<\/p>\n<p>According to European Pravda, the visit may take place as early as next week.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on Ukraine\u2019s plans regarding Belarus, Sybiha stressed that he considers the historical goals of Ukraine and Belarus to be closely aligned.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cWe must help Belarus become a European partner, because Belarus is also Europe,\u201d<\/i> he said.<\/p>\n<p>As reported earlier, Lukashenka expressed <a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/lukashenka-says-how-belarus-could-be-drawn-into-war-and-proposes-meeting-with-zelenskyy\">readiness to meet with Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/a> to discuss bilateral relations.<\/p>\n<p><em><i>\u201cIf he wants to discuss something, seek advice or anything else, please, we are open to that. At any location \u2014 in Ukraine or Belarus \u2014 I am ready to meet with him and discuss the problems of Belarusian-Ukrainian relations. And perhaps talk about prospects. For some reason, we have things to discuss with Americans, Germans, Poles, Lithuanians and Latvians, but nothing to discuss with Ukraine&#8230;\u201d<\/i><\/em> he said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/zelenskyy-s-office-responds-to-lukashenka-s-proposal-for-a-meeting-has-a-habit-of-somewhat-clumsily-inventing-things-after-the-fact\">Ukrainian presidential adviser <strong><b>Dmytro Lytvyn<\/b><\/strong><\/a> responded by saying that Lukashenka\u2019s words have meant nothing since 2022, when Belarus became a staging ground for Russian aggression.<\/p>\n<p><em><i>\u201cSo we watch his actions. Lukashenka has a habit of somewhat clumsily inventing after the fact where an \u2018attack was being prepared\u2019 against him.
