The National Bank of Belarus has unveiled a new 200-ruble banknote of the 2026 series. It will enter circulation on 1 June.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe banknote\u2019s design is conceptually similar to the current 200-ruble note in circulation but has a number of differences. The security features have also been upgraded.\u201d<\/i><\/em>, the statement said.<\/p>\n

The National Bank had previously updated the 5-, 10-, 20-, 50- and 100-ruble banknotes. Those were issued in 2019\u20132022.<\/p>\n

The new banknote bears the signature of current Chairman of the National Bank Board Raman Halouchanka<\/b>. It also includes the name of the architectural landmark depicted \u2014 \u201cMahiliou Regional Art Museum Named After P.V. Maslenikau\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cAn additional watermark \u2014 a filigree in the form of a very light image of the denomination \u2018200\u2019 \u2014 has been added to the multi-tone watermark.<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n

The security thread has been replaced with a wider one (4 mm), featuring more pronounced visual security effects.<\/i><\/p>\n

The paper includes \u2018Iron Frame\u2019 reinforcement along the long edge of the banknote.<\/i><\/p>\n

Durability has been increased through double-sided varnishing.\u201d<\/i>, the National Bank added.<\/p>\n

The banknotes were printed by Russia\u2019s Goznak.<\/p>\n

The 200-ruble banknote of the 2009 series remains legal tender.<\/p>\n
